Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're going through a long tunnel. What will warn you of congestion or an incident ahead?

Why this is the answer

Follow the instructions given by the signs or by tunnel officials. In congested tunnels, a minor incident can soon turn into a major one, with serious or even fatal results.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Hazard warning lines — Road markings are fixed and cannot tell you about today's incident.
B
Other drivers flashing their lights — A flash means only that somebody is there.
D
Areas with hatch markings — Hatching separates traffic. It carries no live information.
