UK theory test in Turkish

There is no Turkish version of the theory test, and no interpreter is permitted. What works instead is learning the whole question bank with the Turkish translation shown under each question, so the English wording is familiar long before you sit down at the test centre.

What a question looks like

English

What would suggest you're driving on an icy road?

Answer: There's less tyre noise

Türkçe

Buzlu bir yolda sürdüğünüzü ne düşündürür?

Daha az lastik sesi vardır

Hazard and weather questions turn on small details like this one. The rule is easy to remember in Turkish; the English sentence is what you have to recognise.

Turkish uses the Latin alphabet with its own letters — ı, ğ, ş, ö, ü, ç — and the Turkish pages here use them properly throughout, including in the explanations.

Where Turkish speakers usually need the most practice

Turkish word order differs enough from English that exam questions can read back to front at first. The stem often carries a condition — "if", "when", "unless" — that changes the correct answer entirely. Meeting those patterns repeatedly is the fastest way past them.

Can I sit the test in Turkish?

No. Foreign-language voiceovers and interpreters were withdrawn in 2014, and the test is now English or Welsh only. There is support available if you find reading difficult or you are deaf — what you can and cannot ask for.
