About Theory Hub

Theory Hub is a free study resource for the UK driving theory test, built for people preparing for it in a language other than English. Every revision question appears in English exactly as DVSA issues it, with a translation directly beneath.

The site covers all 2,898 revision questions from the Car, Motorcycle, Lorry & Bus (LGV/PCV) and Approved Driving Instructor (ADI Part 1) question banks, in eight languages: English, Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Turkish and Hindi.

How the translations are made

Machine translation is not good enough for a test where a single word decides the answer. Every question is translated and then read by a native speaker of that language, who checks it against the English before it is marked as reviewed. Reviewers work through the bank language by language, and any question a reader reports goes back into the queue. This is continuous work rather than a finished job.

Where the questions come from

The questions, answer options and explanations are the DVSA revision question bank, licensed from the agency that sets the live test and reproduced word for word. We do not reword them: what you revise from here is the wording DVSA issues. What Theory Hub adds is its own — the translations, and the notes explaining why each of the other answers is not the one the question is looking for. Free and private

Theory Hub is free, with no sign-up and no paid version, and is supported by advertising. We do not collect personal data, and your practice progress stays on your own device.
