Theory Hub UK Theory Test

What's the nearest you may park to a junction in England, Scotland or Wales?

Why this is the answer

Do not park within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction (unless in an authorised parking place). This is to allow drivers emerging from, or turning into, the junction a clear view of the road they're joining. It also allows them to see hazards such as pedestrians or cyclists at the junction.

Why the other answers don't fit

B
12 metres (39 feet) — 12 metres is more than the Highway Code asks for.
C
15 metres (49 feet) — 15 metres is further still.
D
20 metres (66 feet) — 20 metres would rule out most town parking near a junction.
