Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're the driver of a one-person-operated double-deck bus. How do you stay aware of passengers on the top deck?

Why this is the answer

If you're driving a one-person-operated double-deck bus, you must make sure that you use your internal mirrors. You need to be able to see passengers who are about to descend the stairs. Consider their safety and avoid harsh braking and steering.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
By counting passengers up and down the staircase — Counting people on the stairs is impossible while driving and tells you nothing about what they are doing.
B
By frequent checks upstairs while stopped at bus stops — Going upstairs at every stop would stop the service running at all.
C
By listening to passengers in the upstairs gangway when approaching bus stops — Listening tells you somebody is moving, not who or where.
