Theory Hub UK Theory Test

Where would you see a contraflow bus and cycle lane?

Why this is the answer

The traffic that's permitted to use a contraflow lane travels in the opposite direction to traffic in the other lanes on the road. This is to help public transport make full use of the road network in places that would otherwise be unavailable, such as one-way streets.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
On a dual carriageway — A dual carriageway runs both ways already, so nothing is contraflow.
B
On a roundabout — A roundabout has no contraflow lanes.
C
On an urban motorway — An urban motorway carries no bus and cycle lanes.
