Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're following a car being driven slowly by a learner driver. What should you do if it’s not safe to overtake it?

Why this is the answer

Learner drivers are often nervous. If you stay well back, this will reduce the risk of incidents occurring if they make a mistake, and you will not intimidate them. Remember, you were once in that situation yourself.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Flash your lights so the driver sees you — Flashing is pressure, and pressure is what makes a learner stall.
C
Switch your hazard lights on — Hazard lights mean a hazard, not impatience.
D
Drive along the centre line of the road — Driving on the centre line puts you into oncoming traffic.
