Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're driving a lorry. During the journey you begin to feel ill and are unable to concentrate. What should you do?

Why this is the answer

If you become unwell, it will affect your ability to concentrate. You must be fully alert and ready for any hazards that might occur while you're driving. Stop in a safe place and call for help. You may have to call out a relief driver to complete the journey for you.

Why the other answers don't fit

B
Continue your journey and keep your windows open — Fresh air does not restore concentration you have already lost.
C
Increase your speed to finish your work earlier — Hurrying to finish is the worst response to being unable to concentrate.
D
Keep stopping at regular intervals for rest — Repeated short rests do not make an ill driver fit to drive.
