You’re approaching a mini-roundabout. What should you do if a long vehicle in front signals left but positions over to the right?
- A Sound your horn
- B Overtake on the left
- C Follow the same course as the lorry
- D Keep well back
Why this is the answer
At mini-roundabouts, there’s not much room for a long vehicle to manoeuvre. It will have to swing out wide so that it can complete the turn safely. Keep well back and do not try to move up alongside it.
Why the other answers don't fit
- A
- Sound your horn — The horn cannot make the roundabout any bigger.
- B
- Overtake on the left — The left is where it is heading once it has swung out.
- C
- Follow the same course as the lorry — Its course is set by its length, not by where the lane goes.
