Theory Hub UK Theory Test

At a junction, you see this sign partly covered by snow. What does it mean?

Why this is the answer

The 'Stop' sign is the only sign that's octagonal. This helps you to recognise it even when the wording cannot be seen.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Crossroads — Crossroads is a triangular warning sign and would look quite different under snow.
B
Give way — Give way is an inverted triangle, which is why the shapes are kept distinct.
D
Turn right — A turn instruction is a blue circle with an arrow.
