قبل الانعطاف يميناً بوقت كافٍ عليك أن
- تستخدم مراياك للتأكّد من معرفتك بموضع وحركة المركبات خلفك
- تعطي إشارة الانعطاف يميناً
- تتّخذ موضعاً على يسار منتصف الطريق مباشرة، أو في المساحة المعلَّمة للمركبات المنعطفة يميناً
- تترك مساحة للمركبات الأخرى للمرور من اليسار، إن أمكن.
إرشاد، وليست قانوناً هذه القاعدة غير مكتوبة بأحرف كبيرة، فمخالفتها ليست جريمة بحد ذاتها — لكن يمكن الاستشهاد بها في المحكمة لإثبات المسؤولية. القواعد التي تقول MUST أو MUST NOT هي وحدها المدعومة بنص قانوني.

Well before you turn right you should
- use your mirrors to make sure you know the position and movement of traffic behind you
- give a right-turn signal
- take up a position just left of the middle of the road or in the space marked for traffic turning right
- leave room for other vehicles to pass on the left, if possible.
