Which is the sign for a ring road?

Why this is the answer

Ring roads are designed to relieve congestion in towns and city centres.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
— The blue circle with three arrows marks a mini-roundabout and tells you which way to go round it.
B
— The triangle warns there is a roundabout ahead. A roundabout is not the same thing as a ring road.
D
— A blue circle crossed by a red X is the clearway sign: no stopping. It says nothing about routes.
