- اگر ریلوے ٹیلیفون دستیاب ہو تو سگنل آپریٹر کو بتانے کے لیے استعمال کرنا چاہیے۔ جو ہدایات دی جائیں اُن پر عمل کریں
- اگر ٹرین آنے سے پہلے وقت ہو تو گاڑی کراسنگ سے ہٹا دینی چاہیے۔ اگر الارم بجے یا عنبری روشنی آ جائے تو گاڑی چھوڑ دیں اور فوراً کراسنگ سے دور ہو جائیں۔
ہدایت، قانون نہیں یہ قاعدہ بڑے حروف میں نہیں لکھا، اس لیے اس کی خلاف ورزی بذاتِ خود جرم نہیں — لیکن ذمہ داری ثابت کرنے کے لیے عدالت میں اِس کا حوالہ دیا جا سکتا ہے۔ صرف وہی قواعد قانون کی پشت پناہی رکھتے ہیں جن میں MUST یا MUST NOT ہو۔

Incidents and breakdowns. If your vehicle breaks down, or if you have an incident on a crossing you should
- get everyone out of the vehicle and clear of the crossing immediately
- use a railway telephone if available to tell the signal operator. Follow the instructions you are given
- move the vehicle clear of the crossing if there is time before a train arrives. If the alarm sounds, or the amber light comes on, leave the vehicle and get clear of the crossing immediately.
