Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're leaving your vehicle parked on a road. When may you leave the engine running?

Why this is the answer

When parking, all ancillary controls should be switched off and the engine stopped. Make sure that the handbrake is applied firmly before leaving the vehicle.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
If you'll be parked for less than 5 minutes — No length of time makes it acceptable.
B
If the battery is flat — A flat battery is a reason to charge it, not to leave an engine running in the street.
C
When you're in a 20 mph zone — The speed limit of the road has nothing to do with it.
