Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're giving a driving lesson in an unfamiliar town. What should you tell your pupil if you see this sign?

Why this is the answer

This sign indicates a route for trams only. Other vehicles are not allowed to use these routes. Drivers need to look ahead and plan - especially in an unfamiliar area.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Drive on; it does not apply to you — A prohibition sign applies to you unless a plate exempts your vehicle.
B
Follow the park and ride signs — Park and ride is signed separately and is not what this sign says.
C
Give way only to trams from the right — Giving way to trams from one side is a different sign altogether.

Where this question comes from

The question, its options and the explanation are reproduced word for word from the DVSA revision question bank under licence. The licence requires them to appear unaltered, so we cannot reword them and neither can anyone else — that is why you will meet the same wording on other sites.
