Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're driving in Scotland on a road with no speed limit signs. What would suggest a 30 mph speed limit?

Why this is the answer

In England, Scotland and Northern Ireland there's usually a 30 mph speed limit where street lights are less than 185 metres (600 feet) apart. In Wales the limit is 20 mph.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Hazard warning lines — Hazard warning lines appear on roads of every speed limit.
B
Double or single yellow lines — Yellow lines control waiting and say nothing about the limit.
C
Pedestrian islands — Pedestrian islands are found on roads of all kinds.
