Theory Hub UK Theory Test

Your pupil mentions that they're taking a new drug due to a medical condition. What should you do?

Why this is the answer

Your pupil should check with their doctor or pharmacist if they think that the drugs they're taking are likely to make them feel drowsy or impair their judgement. You should be prepared to stop a lesson if you believe they're impaired by any sort of drug.

Why the other answers don't fit

B
Limit their driving lesson to quieter roads — Quieter roads do not make an impaired driver safe.
C
Continue with the lesson as originally planned — Carrying on as planned ignores the information you have just been given.
D
Make a judgement call based on how they appear to be feeling — How someone looks is not a reliable guide to how a drug is affecting them.
