What will happen if your car's wheels are unbalanced?
- A The steering will pull to one side
- B The steering will vibrate
- C The brakes will fail
- D The tyres will deflate
Why this is the answer
If your wheels are out of balance, it will cause the steering to vibrate at certain speeds. This is not a fault that will put itself right, so take your vehicle to a garage or tyre fitter to have the wheels rebalanced.
Why the other answers don't fit
- A
- The steering will pull to one side — Pulling to one side points to the alignment or the brakes.
- C
- The brakes will fail — Wheel balance has nothing to do with the braking system.
- D
- The tyres will deflate — An unbalanced wheel does not let air out of the tyre.
