Theory Hub UK Theory Test

What should you do if the warning light for your anti-lock braking system (ABS) stays on?

Why this is the answer

If any warning light shows while you're driving, it indicates a fault that needs prompt attention. If the ABS warning light shows, have the braking system checked before driving further.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Check the brake-fluid level — Fluid level is worth checking and is not what this light is telling you.
B
Have the warning light bulb changed — Changing the bulb hides the warning rather than answering it.
C
Check that the parking brake is released — The parking brake has its own warning light.
