Theory Hub UK Theory Test

What condition could prevent you from holding a lorry or bus licence?

Why this is the answer

Any medical condition that could affect your ability to drive a lorry or a bus safely may prevent you from holding a licence. These conditions include serious visual impairment, heart disease and some mental disorders. For more information about medical standards, you should contact the Drivers Medical Branch, DVLA, Swansea.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Dyslexia — Dyslexia is a reading difficulty and does not bar anyone from a licence.
C
Dermatitis — Dermatitis is a skin condition with no bearing on driving.
D
Stomach upset — A stomach upset will keep you off the road for a day, not for good.

Where this question comes from

The question, its options and the explanation are reproduced word for word from the DVSA revision question bank under licence. The licence requires them to appear unaltered, so we cannot reword them and neither can anyone else — that is why you will meet the same wording on other sites. Everything else on this page is written by Theory Hub: the explanation of why each wrong answer is wrong, the topic guide and the revision notes.
