Theory Hub UK Theory Test

Passengers may be in a hurry to get off the bus as you approach a bus stop. What should you do to reduce any dangers?

Why this is the answer

Passengers may have left their seats early and may be standing up, waiting to get off. Do not brake harshly or open the doors until the vehicle has stopped.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Insist that passengers stay seated until the bus stops — Telling people to sit down works only if they listen, and many will not.
B
Stop just before the bus stop and let passengers get off — Stopping short of the stop puts people out in the wrong place.
C
Let passengers on to the bus before letting passengers off — Letting people on first crowds the door with everyone trying to pass each other.
