How are motorway signs different to other road signs?

Why this is the answer

Most motorway signs have a blue background with white lettering, numbers and borders. These signs not only confirm motorway status but are designed to give clear information to drivers travelling at motorway speeds so are much larger than signs on ordinary roads.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
They use junction numbers but not destination names — Motorway signs carry destinations as well as junction numbers.
B
They have black letters on blue backgrounds — Motorway signs are white letters on blue, not black on blue.
C
The signs are the same on all roads — They differ in colour and in size, which is the point of the question.
