Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You've stopped at a pelican crossing, where a disabled person is crossing very slowly in front of you. What should you do when the lights change to green?

Why this is the answer

At a pelican crossing, the green light means you may proceed as long as the crossing is clear. If someone has not finished crossing, be patient and wait until the road is clear.

Why the other answers don't fit

B
Edge forward slowly — Edging forward crowds someone who already needs more time than the lights allow.
C
Ride behind the person — Riding behind them takes you past at the moment they are least able to react.
D
Sound your horn — The horn startles rather than helps, and it does not make anyone cross faster.
