Theory Hub UK Theory Test

You're riding towards roadworks where temporary traffic lights are on red. What should you do if the road ahead is clear?

Why this is the answer

You must obey all traffic signs and signals. Just because the lights are temporary, it does not mean that you can disregard them.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Ride on with extreme caution — A red light means stop, however careful you intend to be and however empty the road looks.
B
Ride on at normal speed — Riding through at normal speed is simply running a red light.
C
Carry on if approaching cars have stopped — What other drivers do does not give you permission. The light does.
