Which sign means the end of a dual carriageway?

Why this is the answer

If you’re overtaking, make sure you move back safely into the left-hand lane before you reach the end of the dual carriageway.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
— Both edges closing in warns that the road narrows. A narrower road is still one road, not two becoming one.
B
— This warns the road narrows from one side only. It says nothing about a second carriageway ending.
C
— Arrows facing opposite ways warn about two-way traffic meeting your route, not about carriageways joining.
