Theory Hub UK Theory Test

When may you cross a double solid white line in the middle of the road?

Why this is the answer

You may cross the solid white line to pass a stationary vehicle or to pass a cyclist, horse or road maintenance vehicle if it's travelling at 10 mph or less. You may also cross the solid white line to enter a side road or access a property.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
To pass traffic that's queuing back at a junction — Queuing traffic is not one of the exceptions.
B
To pass a car signalling to turn left ahead — A car turning left is not among them either.
D
To pass a vehicle that's towing a trailer — Nor is a vehicle with a trailer, whatever speed it is doing.
