Theory Hub UK Theory Test

What should you do if you feel tired while driving on a motorway?

Why this is the answer

Do not continue to drive if you feel the onset of tiredness. Find a safe place to stop for a rest. Walking around in the fresh air during your break will help but it's no substitute for adequate rest.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Stop on the hard shoulder for a rest — The hard shoulder is for emergencies, and tiredness is foreseeable.
B
Carry on, but drive slowly — Driving slowly while tired keeps you on the road for longer.
D
Try to complete your journey more quickly — Hurrying to finish is the worst response to being tired.
