Theory Hub UK Theory Test

What does fuel-efficient driving achieve?

Why this is the answer

The emphasis is on hazard awareness and planning ahead. By looking well ahead, you'll have plenty of time to deal with hazards safely and will not need to brake sharply. This will also reduce damage to the environment.

Why the other answers don't fit

A
Increased fuel consumption — The whole point is that it falls.
C
Damage to the environment — Again, the opposite of what actually happens.
D
Increased exhaust emissions — Emissions fall along with the fuel used.
