पैकेज में ख़तरनाक सामान ढोने वाले वाहनों पर सादे नारंगी परावर्तक प्लेट लगी होंगी। ख़तरनाक सामान के टैंक कंटेनर ढोने वाले रोड टैंकर और वाहनों पर ख़तरे की चेतावनी वाली प्लेट होंगी (देखें “वाहन के निशान”)।
सलाह है, क़ानून नहीं यह नियम बड़े अक्षरों में नहीं लिखा है, इसलिए इसका उल्लंघन अपने आप में अपराध नहीं — पर अदालत में ज़िम्मेदारी तय करने के लिए इसका हवाला दिया जा सकता है। केवल MUST या MUST NOT वाले नियमों के पीछे क़ानून होता है।
